Polyacrylate-22

Hvad er det?

Polyacrylate-22 is a complex polymer that is prepared by first reacting isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI with a copolymer made from Adipic Acid and Neopentyl Glycol. The isocyanate groups on the resulting polymer are then reacted with hydroxyethyl methacrylate followed by quenching with ethanol to eliminate residual urethane groups. Finally, the polymer above is copolymerized with acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, and methyl methacrylate, then partially neutralized with aminomethyl propanol (AMP)

Polyacrylate-22 er optaget i EU's fortegnelse over kosmetiske ingredienser med følgende deklarerede funktioner:

• Film forming

  forms a thin continuous film on skin, hair, or nails — used in long-wear makeup, sunscreens, and hairsprays

• Hair fixing

  holds hair in a desired style, typically through a flexible film coating each strand

EU-regulatorisk status

Polyacrylate-22 er tilladt i kosmetiske produkter i Den Europæiske Union under forordning 1223/2009. Ikke omfattet af en specifik bilagsbegrænsning på skrivetidspunktet.
