Beeswax, synthetic. The complex reaction product of blended acids and blended alcohols which simulates the composition of natural beeswax. It consists primarily of C18-30-alkyl ester of C16-32 fatty acids, C16-32 fatty acids and C22-34 alkanes

Synthetic Beeswax er optaget i EU's fortegnelse over kosmetiske ingredienser med følgende deklarerede funktioner:

• Binding

  holds the components of a formulation together, especially in pressed powders and compact makeup

• Emulsion stabilising

  stabilises emulsions of oil and water, preventing separation over time

• Viscosity controlling

  adjusts the thickness or flow of a formulation

EU-regulatorisk status

Synthetic Beeswax er tilladt i kosmetiske produkter i Den Europæiske Union under forordning 1223/2009. Ikke omfattet af en specifik bilagsbegrænsning på skrivetidspunktet.
