Alcohol Denat. is ethyl alcohol that is denatured with one or more denaturing agents in accordance with the national legislation of each European Community (EU) country.

Wat doet het?

Alcohol Denat. staat in de EU-inventaris van cosmetische ingrediënten met de volgende aangegeven functies:

• Antifoaming

  reduces or prevents foam formation during processing or use

• Antimicrobial

  kills or inhibits the growth of microorganisms

• Astringent

  tightens or contracts skin tissue and pores, often used in toners and after-shave products

• Fragrance

  provides scent or masks the natural odour of other ingredients

• Solvent

  dissolves other ingredients into a uniform liquid phase

• Viscosity controlling

  adjusts the thickness or flow of a formulation

EU-regelgevingsstatus

Alcohol Denat. is toegestaan in cosmetische producten in de Europese Unie onder Verordening 1223/2009. Het is op het moment van schrijven niet onderhevig aan een specifieke Bijlagebeperking.
