Wat doet het?

Isostearic Acid staat in de EU-inventaris van cosmetische ingrediënten met de volgende aangegeven functies:

• Binding

  holds the components of a formulation together, especially in pressed powders and compact makeup

• Cleansing

  helps remove dirt, oil, makeup, and other contaminants from skin or hair

• Surfactant - cleansing

  surfactant whose primary cosmetic role is cleansing — the active workhorse in soaps, shampoos, and body washes

• Surfactant - emulsifying

  surfactant that forms and stabilises emulsions of oil and water — without it, creams and lotions would separate

EU-regelgevingsstatus

Isostearic Acid is toegestaan in cosmetische producten in de Europese Unie onder Verordening 1223/2009. Het is op het moment van schrijven niet onderhevig aan een specifieke Bijlagebeperking.
