Phosphatidic Acid is the phospholipid in which one of the primary hydroxyl groups of glycerin is esterified with phosphoric acid; and the two remaining hydroxyl groups are esterified with long chain, saturated or unsaturated fatty acids

Phosphatidic Acid aparece en el inventario UE de ingredientes cosméticos con las siguientes funciones declaradas:

• Emulsion stabilising

  stabilises emulsions of oil and water, preventing separation over time

• Skin conditioning

  improves the appearance, feel, and condition of skin

• Skin conditioning - emollient

  softens the skin by reducing roughness and friction between skin cells

• Surfactant - cleansing

  surfactant whose primary cosmetic role is cleansing — the active workhorse in soaps, shampoos, and body washes

Phosphatidic Acid está permitido en productos cosméticos en la Unión Europea bajo el Reglamento 1223/2009. No está sujeto a una restricción de Anexo específica en el momento de la redacción.
