Vad är det?

Polyurethane-25 is a complex polymer formed by the reaction of dihydroxypolyoxobutylene (degree of polymerization 12-30), dimethylol propionic acid, meta-tetramethylenexylenediisocyanate, isophoronediisocyanate and trimethoylpropane. The prepolymer is neutralized with triethylamine and chain extended with C1-8 alkyl diamine

Polyurethane-25 finns i EU:s inventering över kosmetiska ingredienser med följande deklarerade funktioner:

• Binding

  holds the components of a formulation together, especially in pressed powders and compact makeup

• Hair waving or straightening

  permanently changes the shape of hair through chemical reduction and re-oxidation of the hair's disulfide bonds

• Skin conditioning

  improves the appearance, feel, and condition of skin

EU-regulatorisk status

Polyurethane-25 är tillåten i kosmetiska produkter i Europeiska unionen enligt förordning 1223/2009. Omfattas vid skrivande stund inte av någon särskild bilageinskränkning.
